Sure they’re pricier than your fast fashion/VS stuff but that’s because they use organic GOTS certified cotton and are made in a family-owned USA factory. So if you guys are looking for some high-waisted undie and really comfortable sports-bra-but-not-like bra I would definitely recommend ARQ. Emi is definitely on the big side but in general I would say the ARQ tank runs small. I also got the ARQ child basic tank for Emi in the 2-3T size, but unfortunately she didn’t fit them and I was too lazy to exchange them. As for me, I liked the wide strap bra better because it just fit better on me. I imagine the full coverage bra would work better for those with a bigger chest. I purchased both the ARQ wide-strap bra and the full coverage bra. But I do see a lot of large-chested women wearing their undies on insta so I assume they must be pretty comfortable to them too. I’m flat chested so I don’t have to worry about support so sorry I can’t really comment on that feature. They are made from the same stretchy tee type of material so they were quite comfy. But when (if?) I get back to wearing tight-fitting bottoms I’d probably wear a different pair of underwear.Īs for the bras, they feel like sports bra but less constricting. Right now I mostly wear dresses or loose-fitting pants so it doesn’t really matter. Since the material is quite thick, you will get some VPL even in jeans. I actually appreciated how high they were when I wore my high-waisted Only Child pants and these undies prevented the deep elastic band marks on my waist (I have to admit the OC pants are probably on the tighter end after gaining some pandemic weight). I did have to get used to the high-waisted nature of the undies since I’ve never owned such underwear before. Also after wearing it for over 24 hours and on a hike no less, I can report no wedgies either. The 92% organic cotton/8% spandex material feels like a soft stretchy t-shirt. I get why their high-rise undies so popular: because it really is quite comfy. Here’s hoping 2021 is a much better year! So what did I think of the much instagrammed ARQ (ShopARQ) underwear? So what’s more fitting than my first review here to be about new underwear for the new year on my new blog? And what better color than green since it signifies better luck for this year than the last. Hit me with your reco's! I just ordered from CUUP and I have ARQ undies that I LOVE but those are so full coverage that I only wear them to lounge or to bed, as they're thick cotton. In some cultures it’s lucky to wear new underwear for the new year. I'm 100% sure on the band size as I have World's Brawniest Ribcage and did r/abrathatfits measuring routine and came up with the same size I already wear, heh. Sizes XXL/XL on bottom and 38DD/40DD depending on style top. No tee shirt bras as that just gives me an additional cup size on my already sizable chest. Seamless or smooth/sleek full coverage in nude to me (so taupe/beige/blush) or black minimalist, high-quality that doesn't read dumpy and frumpy and matronly. I really like Elomi but they recently switched to a really cheap looking and feeling material that I didn't want to put on. I have a handful of fun Victoria's / small maker undies for special occasions. I'm currently using Ex Officio full coverage briefs on bottom and Olga minimizers alternating with Wacoal and/or Natori underwire sports bras and the occasional Felina lace number when I'm wearing a sweater. Many large band and larger cup size bras are lace, and I don't feel like lace texture showing under a top is work friendly, no matter what r/abrathatfits seems to think! Lively bras did not work (cut into my underarms with their underwire edges), Victoria's secret is really too small even at a DDD, Wacoal is okay but their non lace bras are very Elderly Russian Masseuse. If I size up I wind up with baggy undies! They fit, they just like.cut into me. I've noticed full coverage briefs "cut" into my upper thighs and give very obvious panty lines but bikini styles are just a different location for that issue, leaving clear panty lines in annoying places. I've had some middling success over the last couple years in finding a handful of reasonably okay bras and undies but nothing is really working quite the way I like.
